How to Export a WhatsApp Chat

Why export a WhatsApp chat?

WhatsApp conversations are excellent evidence when a client has made promises, confirmed bookings, or communicated about a debt. Exporting the chat creates a text file you can upload to your case.

On iPhone (iOS)

1. Open WhatsApp and navigate to the conversation
2. Tap the contact name at the top to open their profile
3. Scroll down and tap Export Chat
4. Choose Include Media
5. Select how to share — tap Save to Files
6. Upload the exported .txt or .zip file to your case in the partner portal

On Android

1. Open WhatsApp and open the conversation
2. Tap the three dots menu (top right)
3. Tap More → Export Chat
4. Choose Include Media
5. Save the file to your device
6. Upload it to your case

Tips for strong evidence

• Export the full conversation — don't just screenshot
• Make sure the exported file includes dates and times
• Combine with other evidence, such as contracts or invoices

The exported file will be in .txt format and will show every message with timestamps.
